Whenever I'm in admin, if I change it back to English on the top, after the first click it changes back to the second language. How can I correct this?

And don't underestimate the usability of using WinMerge to transfer lines of code from one file to another. If you won't be going live in several months you can always wait for the first alpha and build directly on 3.0. I would say go with 2.6.x now and transfer changes to a 3.0 possibly after summer.
