MCP Server & Toolsets

As of LiteCart 2.7.0 there is a built in MCP server support. This allows AI agents to access MCP toolsets offered by LiteCart.
See the add-ons store for a variety of MCP tools and resources that can be installed.

Authentication

MCP servers support a variety of different protocols and authentications. The current version of LiteCart uses HTTP Basic Auth for authentication. We recommend creating an separate user account for your AI agent.

You can use an Online Base64 encoder or encode it on your own:
Base64Encode(username:password)

Use the HTTP header like the following:

Authorization: Basic YWRtaW46MTIzNA==

Connection Type

The current version of LiteCart uses "http" and not SSE or other I/O streams.
