Will the beta of version 3.0 be released in May?

I wonder when version 3.0 will be released? And what will change globally? Many changes in the kernel?

The 3.0 needs a new template and I need to tie up some loose ends before it can be rolled out. This is taking longer than expected. I have no date as I am a bit stuck.

Main core changes are:

• A new folder structure
• Product Options removed in favour of Stock Items
• Rewritten cart component
• Stock Transactions component
• Banner Manager
• Ability to send customers a link with a ready made cart
• Reserve stock quantities
• Order status state definitions
• Manufacturers renamed to Brands
• New virtual mod system replacing vQmod, supports install/uninstall events and configuration options
• library/ folder renamed to nodes/
• Adapt ilink() system for backend links with a new backend URI

Some core optimizations

What is the new template based on?

Visually? Or technically?
The framework components is still framework.css and app.js like in LiteCart 2.x.
So as third party dependancy free as it possibly can get.

Visually I want to try something new. That's where I am stuck. I am open to suggestions for a nice site header. The old template will be offered as an alternative.

1. on catalog >>> add product >>> general page>>> when you press on [b]green sign +[/b] to add one more picture of the product to be redirected directly to page of adding image, [b]to skip choose file[/b]
   2. on catalog >>> add product >>> general page>>> [b]status[/b] of product to be [b]enabed by default[/b]
   3. on catalog >>> add product >>> stock>>> to be an option [b]in settings[/b] [b]to set by default what number you like for Min. Order Qty / Max. Order Qty / Quantity[/b]
   by default they are 0 and every time you add a product you need to change these 3, so if you have many products is not productive and takes a lot of time
2. on catalog >>> add product>>> to be one more [b]tab[/b] name [b]quick add[/b]  where you add a product fast and you have a few settings like name, price, quantity and photo so you dont need to change all tabs. you quick add a product from a single page, more productive.

@lipci Thank you for feedback. I will consider some of these.

1. How do you select your file if there is no button to choose file? Are you saying you would like the system file dialog to open immediately upon the clicking the green plus?

2. I don't like the idea of a new tab for this. I rather cross link some fields to the first tab General.

3. In 3.0 you will be able to create a vMod for this. vMod has configurations and replaces vQmod.

Consider CSV if you have a lot of products.

1. Yes, or to be added by default another 2x choose files like the first one so you just select directly the pictures when you add a new product.

@oldbrother I am releasing 2.5.0 with some technology from 3.0. Making the platform up to twice as fast.
I don't have a date yet for 3.0 sorry. Still some loose ends I'm trying to tie up. The release of 2.5.0 will of course take some time and focus from 3.0.
