Is there a way to switch off "Search products"?

Is there any way to turn off the "Search product" function from page 1?

Page 1 is that the start page? or the 1st page of a paginated listing?

There is no search field uniquely on the start page. There is on every page in the site header. Is that what you mean?

or does the hint mean something else?
