Digital downloads after purchase

Is there a module for digital downloads after payment has been made?

No current add-on. This is functionality coming in LiteCart 3.0 - which is way delayed and there is no current release date. But it's been implemented.

Does anyone have an idea for a work around until it becomes available? Urgently in need of this function.

You can write an order module that uses the success method() to send the user a downloadable link.

Other than that, could you list your requirements if we should make an addon to solve crisis?

What would be most important?
A) The ability to configure one downloadable item per product.
B) Configure unlimited downloadable items per product that can be reused in other products?

yes, one downloadable item per product is perfectly fine as multiple files could be combined in a single zip file. :)

I guess beyond that, I like to be able to 

• Logging: see if the user downloaded the file after purchase (logging of date/time, IP, provider, browser info)
• Download limit: limit the number of times a file can be downloaded (e.g. 100 times or similar - can be global setting)
• Security: that the downloadable file is really secure and can't be got at with any tricks
• Option in product catalogue to indicate that product is a "digital" product

I am not sure yet about how the cart would handle a digital product ... will it be necessary to force a user registration for the download or can/should this be a different process?
