How about GDPR (May 5 2018)

I am working on a commecial add-on for GDPR to maintain and store consents e.g. privacy policy, marketing, terms of purchase. From the backend merchants will be able to construct consent templates and list consents who consented to what when and where.

It is possible a first release will go out before may 25th that will be appended later with features like automatic account removal.

Do you know the price (approximately) of this module? I do not know whether to modify it myself or wait for this add-on...

I have released two new add-ons.

GDPR - Consents
GDPR - Cookie Consents

I am working on the Personal Data Report and The Right To Be Forgotten.

The add-ons were withdrawn as there was absolutely zero interest for this. I I'm never going to cover development costs by providing support for an add-on with no backers. I spent 30 h developing this thing.

Why withdrawn?

It is currently essential addon (in EU)

You can leave it in store - if addon is ready to use.

You can eventually change addon price - and nothing more.

But addon price it is your decision.

I know it is essential. That's why I thought there was going to be a high demand for it. If I had 30 backers it would cover the development costs. If I was backed by 10 then the price would be too high for the add-ons store.

Hello,
Can anyone confirm that there is no GDPR add-on available at the moment ?
Thanks

There is this add-on I made. But it is no longer available in the addons store due to zero interest. Instead coming LiteCart 2.2 will have some adjustments to cover GDPR.

Is there any possibility to add the option for customers to delete all their data, according to GDPR rules, in their account?

Are you suggesting to blank out all data in their orders? You should be allowed by law to store any data required for you to be able to fullfill e.g. refunds or guarantees. Thinking deleting their account should be enough.

Not to blank out, but to anonimize their orders. IE, if a customer press a button like "Remove all my data and send me a copy of it", the customer name should be renamed to Customer#1 etc, his country, zone should be kept for geo statistics of sales but exactly address to be removed, email and phone to be removed, too, and all his data to be sent to his email address (of course, before removing everything from DB). So when he is pressing that button, a popup should ask him for confirmation and inform about the consequences, and after he confirms, he is log out with a page telling him all his data was sent to his mail and removed from the Store.

This is exactly how GDPR is implemented, for example, in the biggest online store in my country, eMAG.

How many requests like this do you think you get on a monthly basis? I'm thinking what the demand and priority for such a feature would be.

For 1730 orders placed in last 365 days I've got 7 requests, either by mail or by phone. That's about 0.4% of placed orders but about 0.9% of customer number. That might seem like a small amount but I suppose there might have been around similar number of another people willing to, but didn't want to waste time asking for/about the feature.

The most important part, though, is for our stores to be fully GDPR-compliant, as I am afraid one day the specific authorities will start checking us and pushing legal and financial pressure over us.

I don't say this will happen immediately, but maybe it would be a point to consider for LC v2.3 or v3.0

And I guess if you would make an add-on there wouldn't be many people willing to buy it as long as there are no strict regulations and numerous enough cases of companies having troubles.

As for me, I would pay 20-30 euro for such an add-on.

@user7352 LiteCart comes with GDPR compliant features. See Admin -> Settings -> Legal. But when it comes to 3rd party cookies and a cookie manager that is not something that we provide.
