I have updated this add-on but I need to contact the author to see if I'm allowed to publish this.

Will this extension ever work? Unfortunately, it was just a waste of money. Can't it be solved for three years to make it good?

What version are you on Jamie? I patched it for 2.5.1 and confirmed working. If you run into issues, please open a new thread and share some details. Perhaps I can help you out :)

@tomydevon Did you download the latest version, which has been tested with 2.5.2? I installed it and have it working on a standard Litecart 2.5.2 installation, sp perhaps we have a conflict with another addon.

@tomydevon By looking at the error you posted I assume it has something to do with the Featherlight Gallery addon. However, I just downloaded that, but all I get is an addon with the featherlight gallery title, but in reality it seems to be Regional Stickers.

I would be glad to help you investigate further. Perhaps you can contact me through email and I take a look at your development environment? In the meantime you can check what disabling the Featherlight addon would do to make sure that's the culprit.

Featherlight Gallery or Regional Stickers

Oh sorry, it seems that Featherlight is included in Litecart out of the box nowadays. 

I still don't see why this would conflict with the Smart Search Suggestions add-on. It is running fine on my standard Litecart 2.5.2 installation. I would be glad to help you out but I would need access to your store/log files to investigate further. If you would like to have my assistance, get in touch through email :)
