Deleted From Unknown Mar 15 2019 03:58 PM In our Wamp server, we setup sendmail to attempt a simulated purchase by a test customer. The test customer gmail account did receive an order confirmation. However, our company customersupport email address entered in the admin panel never received a notification of the order. Is this the address that is supposed to receive the info? If yes, how can we troubleshoot this issue?
tim Founder From Sweden Member since May 2013 tim Mar 15 2019 08:12 PM Be sure to read the warnings and limitations using Gmail. https://wiki.litecart.net/doku.php?id=admin:settings_email I recommend Mailgun for mail delivery.
Deleted From Unknown Mar 18 2019 08:17 PM I looked into Mailgun and had a chat with the people there, explaining what I was doing with a test server. They immediately tried to steer me to a package 'Scale Plan' at $325/month. Is that what you had in mind when recommending Mailgun? It seems excessive for a test server setup. Is this mailgun service also going to be needed later on a regular Apache server setup?

Deleted From Unknown Mar 18 2019 08:52 PM No. Not even close. And I told them it would be single digits per day, but they still were pushing this plan. So I will look at the free plan. Will it still be needed in a production Apache server?
tim Founder From Sweden Member since May 2013 tim Mar 18 2019 11:58 PM It's not mandatory but it's highly recommended as the php mail pipe can not be trusted. And gmail is not an option.
