Move installation and update Softaculous

I'm planning to move to LiteCart (from my now-online WooCommerce shop).

Yesterday I glanced the Softaculous area on my ISP. There was an interesting tab on LiteCart section:

I now have this kind of migrate plan:
[ol]
[li]LiteCart 2.1.1 install [via Softaculous] on /domain/litecart[/li]
[li](Hiding this LC install [using htaccess] )[/li]
[li]Customizing LC[/li]
[li]Importing WC products [by the help of Cart2Cart][/li]
[li]Deleting WC on /domain/[/li]
[li]Importing LC shop [by using the mentioned Softaculous Import] on /domain/[/li]
[/ol]

Could this work? Is that "Softaculous Import" meant to use this way, moving LC to another location? (There's no instructions how to use it.)

Pardon me, if the question is stupid. I'm just a poor shopkeeper tryin' to build the LC up. smiley

If you move a current installation made via Softaculous you should see the option to edit paths in Softaculous.

If you made a custom manual installation and you want to adopt it to the Softaculous update program you can use the import feature feathre in Softaculous.

Hello @tim,

You modified my topic title, and started to talk about "adapting". I'm a bit lost now. :)

I'm heading to these two simple operation:
[ol]
[li]Install (via Softaculous): domain/litecart[/li]
[li]Moving this site (after customizing and tests): domain/[/li]
[/ol]
Straight root install [domain/] can't be done, because my current Woo shop is already there. But I'm not gonna "adapt" anything, AFAIK, only move my shop, one level, to the domain root.

But ok. Let this be now. I'll do the first install via Softaculous anyway, so let's get back to this "moving thing" later, after the shop is customized (2–4 weeks, I guess).

You are not the only one confused. What is your question?

I renamed the topic because I didn't feel it was very specific in regard to the context of your post.

Sorry, @tim. It must be my bad English. :)

Even so, I surely had a question, already in my open message. It goes like this:

Is that "Softaculous Import" meant to use this way, moving LC to another location?

(Renaming the topic is ok, of course.)

The Import feature is used to import a previously non existent Softaculous installation of LiteCart. For current installations click Edit.

I hope this anwers your question.
