Custom Order Numbers LITE

The only thing "lite" about this add-on is it's footprint.  There are no settings to tweak.  Just install it and you're ready to go!

N.B. This module is designed to work out-of-the-box with the Stripe payment module, although it can be used as-is with any payment gateway (using the original order id).  

This mod creates custom order numbers based on the date of the order.  The format is as follows:

23K1301
  • The first two digits are the year
  • The letter in the third position represents the month 
  • The next two numbers are the day of the month
  • The final two numbers are the sequential order number for the day allowing up to 99 orders per day


This allows for the shortest possible, yet meaningful invoice numbering system for an average size store.

The new number is used in place of the original number throughout your store, and on all printouts and emails.

This module is perfect if:

  1. you do less than 100 orders per day
  2. you only have a single store
  3. the number format shown above is all you'll need
