Depending on the location, we need to apply a specific tax rate. Currently, I made a coding change to modify the Comments text box into a drop down list of the locations. Can I weave in the tax rate by that drop down choice, or should I take a totally different approach? I can make coding changes if I need to, so please point me in the right direction if that is what I should do. I really like this product!

Because tax is going to display a complete different price and needs to be set correctly when the product is added to cart. To be inherited correctly down the process chain. Are you sure this is thought through, because LiteCart already have a system for tax based in the store location and buyer location. Do you have scenarios where there is no pickup but you ship the products? If you can use the regular tax system for geographical tax, and pickup is only one of many shipping options, then all you need is a classic pickup shipping and payment module.
