is there a way to insert alt text for all website's images?

alt="<?php echo htmlspecialchars($name); ?>"

Download the template folder. Search for all occurrences of "<img" in all *.php files inside the directory. Then alter the alt attributes and upload the files back again.

I've inserted alt text in template's files as suggested above (box_cart.inc.php in folder "views", et caetera).

Can you please confirm me that these alt text are somehow generic (e.g. related to specific categories of images) instead of specific (related to a single particular image)?

No, the cart image in box_cart is NOT related to any specific category. For the category related images see pages/category.inc.php and views/listing_category.inc.php.
