I am hoping if I overwrite all files, excluding the template files, all should be OK. But I am not sure if on the new version, MySQL Schema has been changed at all. Where can I see which files have been affected in the new version and if the MySQL database has been changed in any way before the update?

The upgrade patches are essential for upgrades https://github.com/litecart/litecart/tree/dev/public_html/install/upgrade_patches Or compare two versions of the structure https://github.com/litecart/litecart/blob/dev/public_html/install/structure.sql with a file comparison program like WinMerge. However, the structure does not speak for the data in the structure.
